Pattern Round-up: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The great thing about these HP4 patterns: they're all  free. In the name of Merlin, that's what I like to hear!

Pattern Round-Up: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
relevant links to the KM post with pictures are helpfully provided in the pattern title heading

Screen Grab: Hermione's Fair Isle & Cable GOF Turtleneck
Kari Marchant's turtleneck sweater recipe [Rav link] uses colorwork and cabling to replicate Hermione's look.

Screen Grab: That Weasley Girl
This replica of Ginny's Quidditch World Cup cardigan [Rav link] can be knit in a range of sizes, thanks to designer Jacquelyn Landry.

speaking of the Quidditch World Cup...
Screen Grab: The Dark Mark: a chart
Lauren Scungio has helpfully charted out the sign of the Dark Lord for all you Death Eaters [Rav link]; your interpretation can use stitch variations or color changes to signal your allegiance.

Screen Grab: Ginny Weasley's Goblet of Fire Hat
There are several versions of Ginny's golden ribbon-laced beanie out there; this one designed by GoldfishGirl [Rav link] is my favorite.

Screen Grab: Weasley Twins Ski Cap
Take bets on your favorite sporting event while wearing this cap [Rav link] designed by Dale Hwang.

Screen Grab: Mad Eye Patch
Here's one for the crochet mavens: an eye patch designed by Kelly Norman [Rav link] to look just like Auror Alastor Moody's magical eye...
Screen Grab: Mad Eye's Mad Eye
...and one for the knitters, designed by Linnea Tracy [Rav link]!  It is, as she notes, perfect for stash-busting your extra worsted weight yarn.

Speculation: Ron's Chudley Cannons blanket
I'm not the only one curious about the pattern for this blanket.  Blogger VampireGrapes of Yarn Shark has created a "pattern page" with basic construction ideas as well as a Ravelry page where folks can link to various attempts at replication.

Inspiration: Gillyweed Socks
Rosemary Waits was inspired by Harry's (or rather, Neville's) solution to the Second Task of the Triwizard Tournament to create these mossy-looking socks [Rav link].

Hope to see you back tomorrow morning for HP3 (AKA POA)!
